Electronic GSE Design Engineer

Develop Radio Frequency (S-Band) communications rack design specification that is a component end item (CEI) of the Upper Stage (US) EGSE.  Perform commonality assessment to determine if similar equipment developed by NASA design organizations is feasible for the US EGSE application. Candidate will have specific experience in S-Band RF communications and Hardware/Software Integration.  Understanding of MIL-STD-1553B network protocols, avionics test equipment and test methods is highly desired. Familiarity with other network topologies and data standards, including RS-422, RS-485, and Ethernet is beneficial. Candidate should have experience developing space flight hardware and software and knowledge of the associated processes for ensuring safe space flight.
